This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to purchases made from Imaginary BikeWorks LLC (“Imaginary BikeWorks,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
General Return Requirements
Eligible items may be returned within the timeframes listed below.
All returned merchandise must meet the following requirements:
- Returned in like-new condition
- Unused and uninstalled
- Returned with original packaging, documentation, and accessories
- Free from signs of installation, wear, or damage
Items that do not meet these criteria may be refused or subject to deductions.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method after the item has been received and inspected.
Return Windows by Product Category
Standard Accessories & Components
Most accessories, apparel, and small components may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, provided the item is returned in like-new condition.
Complete Bicycles (Non-Custom)
Complete bicycles that were not custom built may be returned within 14 days of delivery.
All bicycle returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee.
Framesets, Wheelsets & Groupsets
Due to the specialized nature of these products, returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery but are subject to a 30% restocking fee.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Bicycle framesets
- Wheelsets
- Drivetrain groupsets
These products require additional inspection and repackaging before resale.
Special Orders
Products ordered specifically for a customer that are not normally stocked inventory may be subject to restocking fees or may be non-returnable, depending on supplier policies.
We will communicate any applicable restrictions before the order is finalized.
Custom Built Bicycles (One-of-One Builds)
Custom built bicycles are one-of-one products assembled specifically for the individual customer using components selected during the build process.
Because components are ordered specifically for each project and cannot typically be returned to suppliers, custom bicycle builds are excluded from the standard return and refund policy described on this page.
Once parts have been finalized and payment has been submitted, custom bicycle builds are final sale and cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded.
Custom builds are produced specifically for the individual customer and are not resalable as standard inventory.

Customers are strongly encouraged to review that policy before confirming a custom build order.
Refund Processing
Once a returned item has been received and inspected, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.
Depending on your financial institution, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
