The Intense Cycles Spider Frameset is Intense’s modern interpretation of a high-performance XC and downcountry race platform, engineered for riders who demand efficient climbing, sharp handling, and confident control at speed. Designed to blur the line between pure cross-country race bikes and lightweight trail machines, the Spider delivers speed without sacrificing composure.

At the heart of the Spider is Intense’s refined lower-link-driven suspension design, tuned for exceptional pedaling efficiency and traction under power. The suspension provides a firm, supportive feel when climbing or accelerating, while remaining active enough to smooth out roots, rocks, and fast trail chatter (ideal for technical XC courses and aggressive marathon racing.)

The rear shock is positioned low and centrally within the frame, lowering the bike’s center of gravity and enhancing balance and cornering stability. Combined with modern geometry, this design gives the Spider a planted, confidence-inspiring ride character that feels composed on descents while retaining the quick handling expected of an XC-focused chassis.

Built to current drivetrain standards, the Spider frameset features a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) and full compatibility with SRAM T-Type transmissions, ensuring precise shifting alignment, improved durability, and long-term component compatibility.
