Intense Tracer 279 Frameset

An enduro bike has one job: charge relentlessly on the descents, and climb efficiently enough to do it all over again. The Intense Tracer 27.5 Frameset is engineered to do exactly that, blending downhill-inspired suspension performance with the efficiency required for demanding climbs and long enduro days.

Drawing direct design influence from Intense’s race-proven downhill platforms, the Tracer 279 features a bottom-link-driven rear shock layout similar to the M-Series DH bikes. This suspension architecture delivers plush, controlled travel for high-speed descents while maintaining a firm, supportive pedaling platform when it’s time to head uphill or sprint between stages.

The rear shock is positioned low and centrally within the frame, lowering the bike’s center of gravity for improved stability, balance, and predictable handling in steep or technical terrain. The result is a chassis that feels planted at speed, composed through rough sections, and responsive when pushed hard.

Updated for modern drivetrain standards, the Tracer 279 is equipped with a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) and is fully compatible with SRAM T-Type transmissions, ensuring durability, drivetrain alignment precision, and future-proof component compatibility.
